Joining Granoff Architects in 2013 was a clear and logical ‘next step’ for Ed Fusco’s architectural career and professional growth. He brings to Granoff a vast range of experience in residential design and construction. In projects ranging from family kitchens to family compounds, his attention to detail and craft has played a primary role in seeing to it that ‘house’ becomes ‘home’.
Ed thrived as a Project Manager for nearly 14 years with renowned architect Duo Dickinson, in Madison, Connecticut. Working closely with clients, builders and craftsman alike, he developed the skills needed to bring beautiful and unique designs to life. The premium placed on the simple beauty of materials, well detailed and carefully crafted, often led to him rolling up his sleeves and remaining on-site or in the shop, to see to it that these shared goals were realized. This experience, coupled with his independent work, has brought him to sites in the Berkshires, the Hamptons and the hills of Litchfield.
Ed studied at the University of Arkansas where he forged the ethos that the built environment plays a very real and direct role in shaping our experiences. He maintains that the practice of architecture is not simply a career, but truly lifelong pursuit, study and investigation. We shape our environment as much as it shapes us.
His free time is spent with his wife and two sons. When they aren’t traveling, they can be found bicycling, hiking the Aspetuck Land Trust, or tending to their vegetable garden in Easton, CT.
